Today we are here with the review of an amazing eye shadow palette which is great for beginners. The Palette is Maybelline New York - The Blushed Eye Shadow Palette.
If you are looking for an affordable eye shadow palette with neutral to nude shades, this is the best product for your makeup kit.

Let's move to the review.

Packaging:
The product comes in a peachy pink palette is it is not very big in size, so seems to be travel friendly. It has a transparent cover and all the shades are visible from top. At the back side the ingredients are mentioned along with the details of how you can use the eye shadow palette using the shades in quads, trios or duos, which is a plus point especially for beginners to understand how to mix and match the shades. The palette also comes with a little brush however I prefer using the eye shadow brushes to give the perfect look.
One thing that the packaging lacks is an inbuilt mirror.

Shade 1:
The shade 1 of this palette is a sheer off white shade, it can be used to highlight your cheeks, forehead, upper lips or as a brow highlighter. It is not very highly pigmented, but 2-3 applications gets the job done.

Shade 2:
The second shade is a very soft baby pink shimmery shade. It can be used as a daily wear eye shadow, alternatively, you can use this shade as a blush or highlighter.

Shade 3:
The third shade is cream in colour and has light golden shimmer in it. This shade is really beautiful, soft and subtle.

Shade 4:
The fourth shade has a brown undertone and has a bit of bronze colour to it with shimmer. This shade is good for daily wear as well as for any functions or occasions. It is highly pigmented and blends easily.

Shade 5:
The Shade fifth is quite similar to the shade 3, it just has a bit of pinkish tone to it, also it can be used for daily wear. 

Shade 6:
This shade is beautiful, it is a beautiful rose gold colour, very soft and creamy in texture, blends easily. It can be used for wedding makeup or for a soft smokey eye look.

Shade 7:
The shade seven is a highly pigmented champagne shade and is one of my favorites in this eye shadow palette.

Shade 8:
The eight shade is brown in colour, up on application, it gives a soft brown colour. It blends easily, is highly pigmented and can be used for a very soft brown smoky eye look.

Shade 9:
This shade is quite similar to the shade 6, has got pink undertones. The shade six was rose gold, this has a bit of brownish colour to it.

Shade 10:
This shade is only matte shades available in the palette. It is very soft, and creamy in texture, highly pigmented and has a soft grey colour.

Shade 11:
Shade eleventh is a brown shade with a hint of purple colour to it. It is again, highly pigmented and one swatch does the job. Has a very fine shimmer to it.

Shade 12:
Last but not the least, this shade is just so beautiful to create that bold smokey eye look. It has a brown-black matte base with rose gold shimmer in it and is super pigmented.


My views on the product:
The Maybelline New York Blushed Nudes Eye Shadow Palette seems to be a good product at a drug store price but there are few things that this palette lacks. The shades in the upper row are not very highly pigmented. On the eyes, most of these shades seem to be very similar to each other. Also the lighter shades are more suitable for lighter skin tone and won't be that great for the people with wheatish or darker skin tone.
What I like about this product is its affordability, the shades are not very bold and can be used daily to work, college etc. Also for people who do not like using dark or bold colours, or are new to makeup, not very experimental with their eye makeup, then this palette is just for you. It stays for a good 5-6 hrs on your eye lids.
One drawback is that this eyeshadow works well when applied using your fingers instead of a brush, and a person like me, prefers using the brush more than the fingers. Most of the shadows are creamy or buttery in texture and blend easily.
Lastly, talking about the packaging, it is nice, and decent, small in size which makes it travel friendly, but there is no mirror in the palette which is a drawback.
Overall it is a decent product for beginners.

-Stays on for 5-6 hrs

Cons:
-No mirror in the palette
-Lighter tones more suitable for people with lighter skin tone
-Works well upon application with fingers
-Must have had more shades 
-Only one matte colour in the palette

Would I repurchase it?

-No. But for beginners, they should definitely give this product a try.
