Hello and Assalaam Alaikum Dear Friends,
The recipe for today is Mutton Shami Kabab, it is a tasty snack that you can have with ketchup or chutney and is really easy to make.
Let's move on to the recipe.
Prep Time: 15 Mins
Cooking Time: 20 Mins
Serves: 3-4 individuals
Ingredients:
Chana Dal - 4 Tbsp (Soaked)
Ginger Garlic Paste- 2 Tbsp
Dry Red Chilly- 2 Pcs
Black Pepper- 5-6 Pcs
Cardamom- 4-5 Pods
Cloves- 5-6 Pcs
Cumin- 1 Tsp
Coriander seeds- 1 Tsp
Bay Leaf- 2 Pcs
Mutton- 250 gms (Minced)
Salt- To Taste
Water- 1/2 cup
Green Chillies- 2-3 (Finely Chopped)
Onion- 2 (Finely Chopped)
Oil- 2 Tbsp
Mint Leaves- Fresh or Dry - 1 Tbsp
Ginger- 1 Tbsp (Finely Chopped)
Garam Masala Powder- 1 Tsp
Corn Flour- 2 Tbsp
Oil- For Frying
Method:
1. Take a cooker and add the soaked chana dal, ginger garlic paste, dry red chillies, black pepper, cardamom, cloves, cumin, coriander, bay leaf, salt and minced mutton. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook up to 4 whistles.

2. Let the cooker cool down on it's own. Open the cooker and see if the mutton is cooked or not. We also have to check the water in the cooker, if there is some water left in the cooker then we need to cook the minced meat on low flame till all the water dries up.

3. Take a frying pan, add 2 tbsp of oil, heat it up. Add the chopped onions to it and cook till it turns a little soft. Please note that we do not have to overcook the onion.
Turn off the flame.

4. Take a mixing bowl, add the sauteed onion with oil to it, add green chillies, mint leaves, ginger, garam masala powder, corn flour and keep it aside.

5. We will check if the keema is well cooked by now or not. Next we will grind all of the keema to a fine paste. Also make sure you remove the bay leaf before grinding. Please note- do not add water while grinding.

6. We will mix this grinded meat in the same mixing bowl which we have kept aside and we will mix all the ingredients well.

7. Now we will take some oil in our hand and make small round patty.
In a pan, we will heat a little oil and will shallow fry the patty from both the sides.

The Mutton Shami Kabab is ready to be served. You can have it with onions, mint chutney ketchup etc.
