Hello and Assalam Alaikum Dear Friends

Today I am going to share the recipe of a very popular dish loved by all i.e. Dahi Bade.


Prep Time: 20 Mins
Cooking Time: 10 Mins

Serves: 3-4 individuals

Ingredients:
Urad Dal- 150 gms (soaked)
Salt- to taste
Baking Soda- 1/2 Tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste- 1/2 Tsp
Curd- 250 gms
Sugar-  2 Tbsp
Black Salt- 1/2 Tsp
Oil- For Frying
Water- 250 ml For soaking the bade
Red Chilli Powder- 1/2 Tsp
Dry Roasted Cumin Red Chilli Powder- 1/2 Tsp

Method:
1. Take the soaked urad dal and grind it into a fine paste. Making sure that the consistency is right and not very thick nor runny.

2.Take the grinded paste in a mixing bowl and add salt to taste, baking soda, ginger garlic paste and mix it well. We have to mix the paste well till it turns light and fluffy.

3. In another bowl, take the curd and whisk it well, making sure there are no lumps. Add sugar, black salt, salt and mix it well. Keep the curd in the refrigerator.

WHISK THE CURD WELL
WHISK THE CURD WELL AND REFRIGERATE



4. Heat oil in a kadhai and add the urad dal mixture one by one in round shape and deep fry at low to medium flame.

5. Take out the fried bade on to a tissue paper or news paper so that all the excess oil is soaked out of them.

6. In another utensil, add water and heat it for 3-4 minutes, turn off the flame. Please note that we do not have to boil the water. Add the fried bade to the warm water for 2 minutes.

7. Now we will carefully drain out the water from the bade and place it in the serving dish. Make sure you don't break them.

8. We will now add the whisked curd which we have kept in the refrigerator, sprinkle some red chilli powder, dry roasted cumin red chilly powder and refrigerate the same for 1 hour. The dahi bade taste best when it's cold.

Dahi bade is ready to be served. You can add mint chutney, or tamarind chutney if you like or have it just like that.
