KHADI NATURAL LIP BALM REVIEW - WITH BEES WAX & HONEY

Khadi Natural Lip Balm ( Lychee and Watermelon)
Khadi Natural- Lip Balm - Lychee (L) & Watermelon (R)

Hello Everybody!!!

Today I am going to review the Khadi Lip Balm in the variant Watermelon and Lychee.
Khadi is one of the most reasonable and trusted brand for natural and herbal products. I prefer using the products of this brand over the extra hyped luxury brands. I am so so so obsessed with lip balms that I need to have one with me all the time 24x7.

I have purchased these lip balms from Nykaa.com however you can get these from any of the Khadi stores across India or the Khadi website online as well as on other retailers like Amazon, Flipkart etc.

Let's begin the review with the Packaging-

Packaging:
The product comes in a very small and handy packaging, it comes in a box (Lychee is in Pink and Watermelon in Green) which has a thin plastic cover over it. Inside the box you can find a small plastic tub with a golden plastic lid and inside of it is again a plastic cover.
It is small and travel friendly but if we think in terms of hygiene, you have to put your finger every time before applying the product on your lips which might not be totally sanitary given that your hands are to be put in the container every time.
However, I personally like the lip balms coming in a tub because I feel the products in these cases last for a longer time in comparison to the other lip balms that come in a lipstick kind of packaging.

Smell & Colour:

Water Melon- The product is light pink in colour and has a very light fragrance of watermelon in it. The product doesn't give any colour/tint to the lips.

Lychee- The product is yellow in colour and has a light fragrance of Lychee, but I personally feel that the smell of Lychee is more prominent in this variant in comparison to the watermelon in which the smell of watermelon is very light. The product doesn't give any colour/tint to the lips.

What the Product Claims:
- Moisturizes your lips
- Gives glossy effect
- Makes your lips soft & shiny
- Conditions the lips
- Seals the moisture of the lips
- Gives a delicate colour

The product is also an ayurvedic recipe, and is clinically and dermatologically tested and is certified by WHO-GMP and GMP certified by Dept. of Ayush.
It is 100% vegetarian and not tested on animals.

My views on the product:
After using the product for almost a week now, the product seems to be good in terms of moisturizing the lips and as it claims that it gives a shine, which it is. However, the glossiness fades away after some time.It doesn't give a colour to the lips as claimed by the product, but I personally prefer using lipbalms without any colour because I keep applying the balm throughout the day and I never forget to apply the same even before my makeup. So in case if the lipbalm has a particular colour, it may change the original colour of the lipstick you are going to apply over it. So I would give it a thumbs up for that. It may be a negative point for the people who like to cover/hide the pigmentation of the lips.

I like the small and compact packaging because it is easy to carry in your bag, also it doesn't leak as it has two lids over it. But the product needs to be stored in a cool and dry place as it is in a plastic container in which the product might melt in summers.

One negative point about the product is that it is not with SPF, so this product doesn't protect your soft lips from the harsh UV rays. So someone who needs to travel everyday or has to step out of the home for work, school, college etc may want to be extra careful.

Also, you require a very small quantity of the product for your lips. It is smooth and gets easily spread with your fingers, it lasts for a good 2-3 hours after which you will have to reapply the product. I also like the light hint of the smell of watermelon/lychee in both the variants because I am slightly allergic to strong smells and prefer every cosmetic with a light fragrance.

Pros:
-Small Packaging, Travel friendly
-5 gms of product will last for good 2 months at least
-Smooth and creamy texture
-Non sticky
-Moisturizes the lips
-Light fragrance
-Colourless (can be used beneath any lipstick)
-Easily available in the khadi stores and other online websites (Links mentioned below)
-Inexpensive
-Good quantity

Cons:
-Lacks SPF
-Packaging in terms of hygiene is not good
-Only key ingredients mentioned

Would I repurchase it?
-Yes I will, because I personally liked the product for using it if I am not travelling, but yes if I will have to use it while I am outside in the sun, I would prefer something with SPF in it.
